Browser security

Staying safe online with CWB Financial Group

Did you know your internet browser plays an important role in keeping your data safe online?

You could be putting your information at risk if you are not running the most up-to-date version of your browser, or if you do not have the most advanced security settings enabled.

At CWB we work hard to ensure our clients enjoy a secure online banking experience. In order for us to maintain a secure environment, we can only support the most up-to-date versions of Internet browsers because they enable the latest version of Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols.

TLS protocols are security features that work to keep your information safe when communicating online. The latest standard, TLS 1.2, provides the most enhanced privacy protection and data integrity available.

By updating your web browser and enabling the most advanced security settings, you help us provide a secure online banking experience.

To make sure your system supports TLS 1.2, you will need to do the following:

  • Update your web browser to the latest version for the following systems: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.
  • Enable TLS 1.2, the most advanced security settings for your browser.

In order to run the latest browser and security settings, our Information Services team also recommends the following:

  • Update your Windows or Mac operating systems to the latest version for your computer.
  • Upgrade your computers, laptops, tablets or other devices you use to connect to the Internet.

There are many ways we can all work to protect ourselves and our information online. Thank you for taking the time to ensure your online banking experience remains secure.
